“I read my Bible and go to church. I’m even in a small group.”

“But I’m still struggling.”

“I hear the messages on Sunday mornings but can’t connect them to my life. I must not have enough faith.”

“I’m ashamed to tell others my struggles.”

“I try to talk to my friends. I know they care, but hearing more Scripture verses just makes me feel worse. I already feel like such a sinner.”

“I do repent for my sins, but I still feel bad.”

“It’s just easier not to tell people, but I really can’t fake it anymore.”

“Maybe I’ve done something that’s disappointed God so much that He’s angry with me.”

Maybe He’s punishing me for not believing Him enough, for not having true faith.”

I feel so alone. If He’s angry with me and I don’t know how to change things, where do I turn?”

I Don’t Really Know What It Means to Live Out My Faith

I’m struggling to work through issues in my life like relationships, deciding on a career, and making healthy choices in today’s society.

I read the Bible and hear the sermons, but living like Jesus teaches in present day is confusing. I want to know how to be happy and not compromise my faith.

What is the right way to live?

I Don’t Have a Problem with God, I Have a Problem With People

It’s not the things that the Bible teaches or what Jesus says that I struggle with, it’s people who say they have faith but aren’t good people.

I want to understand how to have faith when people I go to church with have hurt me. It’s not okay and it makes me not want to be a part of a community of faith.

How do I deal with this?

Let’s turn self-criticism into hope with Faith-Based Therapy.

Much of how we see ourselves and our lack of faith is rooted in unhelpful thinking patterns, many of which originated during childhood.

Understanding how our brains work and the connection between our core beliefs, thoughts, and emotions sheds light on how we understand God and the Scriptures. It’s not so much what you believe but the lens through which you believe it.

Once you identify and change your perspective, you’ll see so much more clearly!

And clarity will give you hope! Contact me and let’s talk more during your free consultation regarding faith-based therapy: (817) 809-8801.
